The sweat and hard work of SVSBians during the 3 day Boom Bazaar which was organised from April 2nd to 4th, was paid off with a total fund collection amounting BND$1,228.60

The donation cheque was handed over to SMARTER Brunei on May 4, 2011 by Acting Director of Technical Department, Mr. Dennis Ho Mun Tai. Witnessing the event were Deputy Director of Technical Department, Awg Hj Abullah bin Ahmad, Principal of SVSB, Awg Akandi bin Hj Abd Razak and other officers, instructors and selected students of SVSB.

Receiving for SMARTER was the President of SMARTER himself, Malai Hj Abdullah bin Malai Hj Osman. Besides financial donation, others items that were donated by staff especially for SMARTER were also given.

We close this post with an excerpt taken from the President's welcoming speech during the SMARTER's Musical Charity Gala Night on May 1, for us all to ponder upon.

'"To everyone please believe in their abilities as Henry Ford said "if you think you can, you are right, if you think you can't you are right".  The word IMPOSSIBLE actually is I.M.POSSIBLE. We, the parent and family of our sons and daughters with Autism have a dream that they will live life to the full with dignity. "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them". Walt Disney "
